Sara Evans

Sarah Sarah Sara SaraAll through her life, Sara Evans only held but one dream: to perform and write country music. "God put me on the planet to become a singer," said Evans, according to John Meroney of American Enterprise. "It is what I enjoy doing most of all which is why I'm bound to be successful." Evans was also determined to become successful in reviving the traditional style of country music that was popularized by legendary artists like Patsy Cline and Hank Snow. Also, she was influenced to some extent by George Jones, Tammy Wynette as well as Patty Loveless. Evans' first success came in the 1990s when many aspiring country singers turned towards pop songs. Her 1997 debut, True Lies, was an excellent example. True Lies, though it got a positive review and received nominations from the Academy of Country Music for the top female vocalist of 1998 but failed to create an impact. Evans was enticed to change her music repertoire to No Place That Far in 1999 by her producers. It gave her the recognition that she'd had been seeking for years. Sara Evans was born February 5, 1971, at Columbia, Missouri. Sara Evans spent her early days of her life living with her siblings.
